RUAMJAI   /   KIRSI KAUNISMÄKI-SUHONEN   /   CV

Kirsi Kaunismäki-Suhonen has led Ruamjai since the autumn of 2015. She has a master’s degree in education and is also a music teacher. Kirsi Kaunismäki-Suhonen has complemented her studies by specializing in drama education and choral conducting. Kirsi Kaunismäki-Suhonen has worked as a music class teacher all her working life. Before Ruamjai she successfully led the award-winning Cantus Michaelis Choir from Mikkeli. 

As the conductor of Ruamjai, Kirsi Kaunismäki-Suhonen has, for example, arranged live music to the Finnish movie classic Valkoinen peura (The White Reindeer), led her choir to win the international In... Canto Sul Garda choir competition in Riva del Garda, Italy, and received the prize for the best performance of a specific work in Tampere Vocal 2017.

 

Before Kirsi Kaunismäki-Suhonen, Ruamjai has been brought to its current measure and reputation by Iina Karjalainen and the founder of the choir Sanna Salminen.
